The RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8110 for AT&T has a similar design and feature set to the carrier's RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8120. However, instead of Wi-Fi, the Pearl 8110 has integrated GPS, which allows for real-time tracking and turn-by-turn directions with the addition of a location-based service like AT&T Navigator.
We tested the quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900; GPRS/EDGE) RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8110 in San Francisco using AT&T service, and call quality was decent. On our end, the audio was loud and clear, though on some calls, voices sounded slightly garbled. We were still able to communicate with our callers and interact with an airline's voice automated system.
